Open Mic Night: Carroll's Got Talent!

On February 9th, Tri-M, the National Honors Society for music, hosted its first ever Open Mic Night in Carroll’s library. A countless number of supporters and parents showed up to witness the talent that unfolded this night. Performers each had a 5 minute time frame to entertain the audience. In a cafe like setting, 15 acts performed spanning from singing, to instrumental, to telling jokes. For example, Andrew Noyle told stories about his “wonderful” experiences working at McDonalds. Zack Zheng even made an appearance this night with a very unique comedy act and his most famous rapping skills. Shaelyn Fabik, president of the choral aspect of Tri-M, says, “Tri-M never really made a name for itself until this year, where we actually made ourselves known through this event. It is really inspiring how an entire organization came together, came from nothing and accomplished so much in one night. Even though a lot of talent showed up, I hope this event becomes an annual thing and more people come out to show their talents in the future.”

Congratulations to all who were involved in this groundbreaking event. It truly was a wonderful experience!

Luckily, this is not the last you have heard from Tri-M. They will be hosting a Carroll’s Got Talent Show on April 27th. Come share your talents and support Tri-M!
