ACTS Presents: Once on this Island

Though each production here at Archbishop Carroll goes above and beyond in achieving extraordinary levels of both realism and fun, this year’s fall production of Once On This Island is set to stun audiences with performances unlike any seen before. Written by Tony Award winning team Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty comes a coming of age story like no other. Revolving around themes of the power of love and its triumph over death, the production follows the quest of Ti Moune, a peasant girl in pursuit of love against all odds. In a celebration of hope, love, and strength in the face of adversity, the tale will be brought to life on the Carroll stage from November 16th-19th. Audiences are invited to follow Ti Moune, an island girl (Samantha Scroggins), as she falls in love with a boy from another world (Brandon Abiuso) and a variety of other characters whose performances include carefully choreographed dance numbers paired with musical renditions of songs from the production. Come support the hard work of both the cast and crew members that have put copious amounts of their time and energy into pulling the production. If you would like to see a show that will make you laugh, cry, and want to tell the story, come out to see Once on this Island!

Entrance to the show is free to students with their student ID and is $10 for other viewers.
